Rule 1- Set A Goal
Everyone has different reasons for wanting to lose weight. It may be to control your diabetes. It may be to look and feel better. Whatever your motivations may be, understand them and validate them. It is extremely important that your goals are achievable and realistic. Remember you don’t have to be a size six to be healthy. You can be just as healthy at a size 12. What matters is lifestyle changes. Your goal should be challenging but obtainable.
Rule 2- Record Your Starting Measurements
Have a friend or family member take your measurements with a tape measure. The best body parts to measure are your waist, both thighs and around the widest part of your chest. These measurements will indicate your progress as you forego on this weight loss journey. Tip: Try on an article of clothing that is too tight, and a month later try on the same article of clothing to see if there is a difference.
